Pocket Parklet (2017)

In any city, Parks are an integral part of a happy and healthy city. They serve as the major gathering spaces for the public, serving as a place for citizens to converse, reflect, perform, and play.

POPUP Parklet is a modular, mobile park system. Each module has the same footprint but presents a different experience one might find in the park.  You can choose any number of different Parklet pieces and reconfigure them to fit any space.

While all the traditional elements of a park are present, from lawn you can lounge on, to benches and ‘message’ (display) boards, there are also more playful elements including hammock netting, chalkboard & chalk, decking with yoga mats, and an adult sized jungle gym for hanging and light movement.

Project: Exhibition Installation
Materials: Wood, Galvanized Steel, Turf, Cotton Fabric
Status: Unbuilt / Competition Finalist
Team: Studio Madefor
Role: Design, Rendering & Proposal
Projected Budget: $5,500
Date: 2017

Exhibition installation & social space for an innovation conference.
